Surrey is getting a $95 million share of the Federal Housing Accelerator Fund to fast-track the construction of 2,800 housing units over the next three years. This will be helpful in digitization of permits and other infrastructure support as well. Surrey has one of the largest concentrations of South Asian residents in North America and new funding will be a driving force for local construction industry in creating new job opportunities.
