A Sikh man has filed a complaint after his beard and hair were shaved without his consent at a hospital in Brampton, Canada. According to the World Sikh Organization of Canada (WSO), staff at Brampton Civic Hospital shaved Joginder Singh Kaler, 85 without permission or consent from the man or his family. The incident, which occurred during medical treatment, has sparked outrage, as uncut hair holds deep religious significance in Sikhism. The man and his family expressed shock and disappointment, claiming the hospital violated his religious rights. The Sikh community is calling for accountability and better cultural sensitivity in medical practices to prevent similar incidents in the future.
