Maninder Grewal - News Anchor

With a strong academic foundation in Mass Communication and Journalism, Maninder completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field before beginning her professional journey in broadcasting as a radio news reader during her postgraduate years. What started as an opportunity soon evolved into a lifelong passion for news and radio journalism.

Alongside her broadcasting career, she served as an Assistant Professor at various colleges and universities in India while remaining actively engaged in the media industry. She also contributed career counselling columns to The Tribune and worked with All India Radio and Doordarshan during and after her university years in India.

After immigrating to Canada in 2013, Maninder joined RED FM Calgary within days of arriving. Her early roles included creative writing, news reading, and hosting the popular program RED Geetmala. However, her enduring passion for news broadcasting eventually led her back to full-time news presentation.

For the past five years, she has been proudly associated with RED FM Vancouver. She believes it is truly a blessing when one has the opportunity to do what they love and when passion becomes a profession.
