Costco Canada Recalls Some Chicken Products Over Undeclared Soy

Costco has issued a recall involving Rossdown Meal Starters Black Garlic Chicken Breast Chunks sold at its warehouses between August and September 2026. The recall was issued because the product may contain undeclared soy, which could pose a serious health risk to people with a soy allergy or sensitivity.

Costco Canada says that affected product is Rossdown Meal Starters Black Garlic Chicken Breast Chunks that was sold under Item number 2950321. The recall applies specifically to two production lots: Lot 2461263, produced on August 10, 2026, and Lot 2461272, produced on August 19, 2026.

Customers who have a soy allergy or sensitivity are advised not to consume the recalled product as exposure to an undeclared allergen can cause an allergic reaction that may be serious or, in some cases, life-threatening.

Costco has advised customers who purchased the affected chicken can return it to any Costco warehouse for a full refund. The company is also asking customers to pass the recall information along to anyone who may have received or been given the product.
