$10K in Stolen Jewelry Recovered by Vancouver Police After Open House Heist
Vancouver police have recovered over $10,000 worth of stolen luxury goods and fine jewelry following a targeted traffic stop late Saturday evening.
The investigation unfolded around 9:25 p.m. when patrol officers spotted a rented Chevrolet SUV pulling away from a location familiar to law enforcement. Upon pulling the vehicle over and executing a thorough search, authorities uncovered items tied to an unreported daytime theft that took place during a local real estate open house. Investigators also seized additional items linked to ongoing break-and enter incidents along with widespread financial fraud.
Department spokesperson Sgt. Adam Donaldson confirmed that police unit teams are currently evaluating the seized property. Detectives are reviewing evidence to determine if the suspects are connected to similar unresolved cases across the region while working to locate other property owners who may have been targeted.
The two male suspects taken into custody were released as the investigation continues, and formal charges remain pending. Vancouver Police urge anyone who suspects they have fallen victim to similar open-house thefts, or who holds details relevant to the case, to reach out to investigators immediately.
