Two suspects sought after East Gwillimbury business robbery

York Regional Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying at least two suspects wanted in connection with a commercial robbery in East Gwillimbury.

According to police, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on August 19 in the area of Woodbine Avenue and Davis Drive. Two suspects entered a business and allegedly demanded cash.

During the incident, one suspect allegedly sprayed the victim with an aerosol irritant before both suspects fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was treated at the scene for injuries.

The York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit continues to investigate and is appealing to anyone who may have information about the suspects or the robbery.
