Toronto Police Release Image of Suspect Vehicle After Gunfire at Two Jewish-Owned Bakery Locations

Toronto Police Service says it is investigating two shooting incidents that targeted separate locations of the same Jewish-owned bakery chain.

Police detailed the incidents in a news release today. The first incident happened 11:15 p.m. on Saturday July 25, 2026 at a bakery near Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West. The second occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday July 26, 2026 at another location near Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue West. In both cases, gunfire damaged the front windows of the businesses.

Investigators believe the same dark-coloured SUV was involved in both shootings. The bakeries were closed at the time of the incidents, and no injuries were reported.

The Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force, with support from the Hate Crime Unit, is leading the investigation. Officers are reviewing surveillance footage and have released an image of the suspect vehicle.

Investigators are asking anyone with information, dash-camera footage, or security video from either area to contact the police.
