Toronto man charged with human trafficking two victims, including one exploited as a minor

A 35-year-old Toronto man is facing multiple charges following a human trafficking investigation involving two victims who were allegedly exploited over periods of six and 11 years.

Toronto Police say the Human Trafficking Unit launched the investigation in September 2026. Investigators allege that 35-year-old Justin Ferguson used deception, coercion and control to traffic a 28-year-old victim over a six-year period. Police further allege that the victim was required to hand over all money earned through sexual services, which was retained by the accused.

Ferguson was arrested on October 13 and charged with several offences, including human trafficking, receiving material benefits from sexual services, procuring, unauthorized possession of firearms and uttering threats of death or bodily harm.

Investigators subsequently identified a second alleged victim, also 28, who was reportedly trafficked over an 11-year period. According to police, Ferguson first met and sexually exploited this individual when they were under the age of 18. The victim was also allegedly required to surrender all earnings to the accused.

Ferguson was arrested again on October 27 and faces further charges, including human trafficking involving a person under 18, material benefit from sexual services involving a minor, sexual exploitation of a young person, procuring, assault and additional firearm-related offences.

All charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.

Police believe there may be other victims connected to the investigation and have released the accused's photograph in an effort to identify anyone who may have information.
