Grand Valley Man Charged in Online Luring Investigation

A 60-year-old Grand Valley man is facing luring charges following an undercover investigation conducted by the Guelph Police Service.

Police say the investigation took place between late March and early May 2026 and involved an undercover officer posing as a 13-year-old girl online.

Police say that during the investigation, the accused allegedly engaged in sexually explicit conversations with the undercover officer, requested nude photographs, and suggested meeting at a hotel.

On Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant and arrested the suspect. Several electronic devices were seized and will undergo further forensic examination.

The man has been charged with two counts of luring and was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
