Carney meets business leaders to discuss Canada-U.S. trade and investment

Prime Minister Mark Carney met with business leaders from a range of sectors to discuss Canada’s trade relationship with the United States, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

The PMO said the meeting focused on recent developments in Canada-U.S. trade and the government’s priorities for promoting economic growth and attracting investment to Canada.

Business leaders were also invited to share their views and industry-specific perspectives on the issues affecting their sectors.

According to The Canadian Press, representatives from 23 companies attended the meeting, including RBC, Enbridge, Bell Canada and Bombardier. CN Rail, Suncor and Nutrien were also among those listed as participants.
