57-year-old driver dies after cement truck crash on Highway 401

A 57-year-old man has died after a cement truck overturned on Highway 401 in Toronto on Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at around 9:20 a.m. on the eastbound Highway 401 ramp from Kennedy Road.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Scarborough resident was driving the truck when it overturned. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash. The ramp remains closed, and OPP are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward.
