41-Year-Old Man Charged With Second-Degree Murder in Ontario's London

A 41-year-old London man has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of a woman at a residence on Chelton Road.

London Police Service said their officers responded to the home at approximately 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, where they found an adult woman suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital by paramedics but later died.

Offiecrs arrested an adult male at the scene and said the victim and accused were known to each other and had been involved in an intimate relationship.

Additional family members were inside the residence at the time of the incident. Police said none of them were injured.

The investigation has been taken over by the LPS Major Crime Section. Chelton Road was closed in both directions for a period while officers remained at the scene.

Mandeep Singh, 41, of London, has been charged with second-degree murder. He remains in custody and was scheduled to appear in London court today.
