“Tackle Hunger Red Bag” campaign returns to Panorama to support Calgary food bank

The Purolator “Tackle Hunger Red Bag” campaign is returning to Calgary’s Panorama community to help support people facing food insecurity. The campaign will run from May 9 to May 16, with all donations going to the Calgary Food Bank.

On Saturday, May 9, volunteers will deliver approximately 10,000 Red Bags to homes throughout the Panorama neighbourhood. Residents are encouraged to fill the bags with non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal and other essential grocery items.

Community members are asked to place the filled bags outside their homes by 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, when Purolator couriers will collect the donations. Anyone who misses the pickup time can still contribute by dropping off their donations at a designated Purolator drop-off location nearby.

All collected food items will be transported to the Calgary Food Bank to help individuals and families struggling with hunger and food insecurity in the community.
