Search continues for missing 11-year-old Calgary boy after eight days

The search continues for 11-year-old Parker Wells, who has now been missing for eight days after disappearing from a day home in Calgary’s Thorncliffe community on July 16.

Police say Parker was last seen between 11:08 and 11:41 a.m. Calgary Police continue to use extensive resources in the search, including drones equipped with thermal imaging, the HAWCS helicopter, K9 units, mounted officers and ground search teams.

The Calgary Fire Department has also searched Nose Creek, ponds, waterways, storm sewers, parks and alleyways using specialized rescue teams. Police say all investigative tools remain in use, and search areas are expanding as new information and leads emerge.

Residents are being asked to check and recheck their properties and provide any CCTV footage from the Thorncliffe area, even if Parker is not visible in the footage.

Parker is neurodivergent and non-verbal. Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach him. Instead, keep him in sight and call 911 immediately. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Crime Stoppers.
