Heavy commercial trucks will soon require devices that limit their speed on provincial roadways. According to BC’s Transportation Ministry new requirement will take effect on April 5th for trucks above 11,793 kilograms built after 1994. These devices will limit the speeds of vehicles fitted with the technology to 105 km/h. New requirements are part of amendments to the Motor Vehicle Act, first announced in late 2023.
